I once dreamed of creating monumental pottery, especially tall, large vases, but I lacked the traditional tools and studio setup. Instead of giving up, I chose to work within my limitations.

Through years of experimentation, I developed a signature mineral-clay blend. While air-dry clay presents unique challenges, I pioneered methods to achieve a level of finish and gloss usually reserved for kiln-fired ceramics. Each piece requires weeks of construction, refining, and hand-finishing. When a vase is finally complete, it carries more than just form—it carries fulfillment.

The Luminous Dream

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by objects that glow in the dark—watches, stars, and hidden lights. Today, I have found a way to infuse that wonder into my work. I am currently exploring techniques to make my art glow, fulfilling a lifelong dream of creating unique art pieces that live even in the dark.

These pieces are designed to serve as luxury corner decor, providing a soft, guiding light even when the room is silent and still. My goal is to see these sculptures in grand settings, such as large meeting rooms or gallery halls. I can imagine the impact of two 6-foot tall vases standing as focal points; when the lights are turned off for a presentation, the glow of the textures would beautify the entire space. It is about creating art that transforms a room and brings value to every hour of the day.

While flying over the sea once, I imagined the water’s surface covered in the waste we casually throw away. That vision stayed with me. I now choose to give these brief-use materials a second life, transforming them into meaningful fine art prints and original wall decor that deserve a permanent space in our homes.

The Journey Behind the World’s Largest Paper Clay Vases

Great achievements are rarely born from abundant resources—they are born from necessity, passion, and persistent trial.

When I set out to craft large-scale architectural vases, traditional ceramic methods were completely out of reach. Without access to industrial kilns, clay mines, or heavy factory machinery, the idea of sculpting monumental floor vases seemed impossible.

Rather than stopping there, I set out to engineer my own path. I developed a high-strength, mineral-based air-dry paper clay formulation completely from scratch. Using only pure raw materials, basic manual tools, and my own hands, I spent years perfecting a layering process that could maintain structural rigidity and delicate carved detailing without heat firing.

The result of this journey is a collection of monumental structural works, crowned by a 7-foot (2.13-meter) structural paper clay centerpiece. Extensive research across global craft databases, artisan records, and public art archives confirms that non-kiln, air-dry paper clay sculptures of this vertical height and structural complexity are virtually non-existent in the art world.

Every curve, cutout lattice, and surface contour represents hundreds of hours of manual labor, precise weight distribution, and pure dedication. These pieces stand not just as decorative art, but as living proof of what can be accomplished when determination replaces limitation.
